How can we help?
Answers to common questions, quick how-tos, and how to reach a person at CTEQ.
Get help from a person
Email support@cteq.com.au. Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and what happened, and we’ll get back to you.
Please never email health information or screenshots of your medicines. Describe the problem in general terms. We don’t need your health details to help, and we’ll never ask for them.
Get set up in a minute.
Bellbird has these steps built in too: ask Pip “How do I…?” or open Help & tips.
Add an eScript by sharing the text
- Open the text or email from your doctor in Messages or Mail.
- Tap Share and choose Bellbird. (Or copy the whole message, tap + on Today, choose “Paste a text or email” and tap “Read it”.)
- Check the details Bellbird read, pick who it’s for, then save.
Add a visit
- Tap + on Today and choose “Add an appointment”, or share the clinic’s message into Bellbird.
- Check the date, time and place. Turn on “Add to my iPhone Calendar” if you like.
- Untick any before-visit steps you don’t need, then tap Save.
Add a family member
- Go to Me and tap “Add a family member”.
- A switcher appears at the top of Today and Medicines. Pick Everyone, or just one person.
- When you add a script or visit, choose who it’s for.
Back up and restore
- Go to Me > Backup & restore and turn on backups.
- Choose a passphrase and keep it somewhere safe. Nobody, not Apple or CTEQ, can open a backup without it.
- Backups are saved to Files on your iPhone. Switch on “also keep in iCloud Drive” to keep a copy in your own iCloud Drive.
- On a new iPhone, install Bellbird, choose your backup file and enter your passphrase.
Put Bellbird in your share sheet
- Tap Share in any app, swipe along the row of apps and tap More.
- Tap Edit, then tap + next to Bellbird.
- Drag it to the top and tap Done.
Good questions.
Is Bellbird medical advice?
No. Bellbird keeps your health papers organised and reminds you about things you’ve added. It doesn’t diagnose, interpret results, check interactions or give dosing advice. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about your medicines. In an emergency, call 000.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone. Everything you add is kept in Bellbird’s private storage, which iOS encrypts when your phone is locked. There’s no account and no CTEQ server holding your information, so we never see it.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The only time Bellbird goes online is when you add an eScript link: your iPhone opens that link with eRx, the eScript service your prescriber used, to read the medicine details. You can always type the details in yourself instead.
Is this the official eScript app?
No. Bellbird is independent, made in Australia by CTEQ. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by eRx, Fred IT, the Australian Digital Health Agency, Medicare or Services Australia.
Does it connect to My Health Record?
No. Bellbird doesn’t connect to My Health Record or any government system. It keeps only what you add to it.
Can my family see it on their phones?
Not yet. You can look after the people you care for on your own iPhone, and print or share a medicines summary when someone needs it.
What does it cost?
Bellbird is free. No ads and no in-app purchases.
What do I need?
An iPhone on iOS 26 or later. Ask Pip’s open questions need Apple Intelligence. Everything else, including Pip’s how-to answers, works on every iPhone that runs iOS 26.
What if I lose my phone?
Turn on encrypted backups in Me > Backup & restore. Backups are saved to Files on your iPhone, so also switch on “keep in iCloud Drive” or copy the backup somewhere safe. On a new iPhone, install Bellbird and restore it with your passphrase. We can’t recover your information or your passphrase, because we never have them.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the Bellbird app. That removes all of its data from your iPhone. Then delete any Bellbird backup files in the Files app, and in iCloud Drive if you turned that on.
Your health stays on your phone.
No account or sign-up. Anything you add stays on your iPhone.
Bellbird is not a substitute for medical advice. In an emergency, call 000. Made in Australia by CTEQ.
